Further Information

Magic custom JBL loudspeakers designed and built right here in Brisbane

These are furniture grade speakers made from Tassie Oak.

They utilise and JBL 4530 style horn with vintage James B Lansing designed D130 15inch woofers, pro 2420 compression drivers with original diaphragms in excellent condition with masterfully constructed timber horns and vintage pro audio Pioneer SFR-084 ribbon tweeter that has a frequency range from 4.5kHz to 100kHz so it is definitely happy working in the human hearing range. External crossover that was custom made and measured using professional grade measuring equipment. Designed to be within +/- 1dB of the target curve.

They were made by a Brisbane engineer to be his own personal speakers until they became a bit too much for him to move in retirement so he passed them on to a friend who was radio engineer and the story repeated.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and cleaned them up to a level that they deserve. There a few bumps as shown in one pic (can't upload more than I have) but they are in very good condition. The drivers are in excellent condition and measure perfectly.

They sound as good as they look and being classic JBL parts they are amazing at normal home listening levels all the way to concert levels. They sound big, refined, detailed and a joy to hear.

These drivers are sort after and worth quite a bit. JBL gear is only going up in value too

Happy to provide more pics on request as restricted to 10 here
Please see links for videos at end of pic reel of these beauties in action. Videos to show working order not what they will sound like. Hook your YouTube up to your system or at worst throw some headphones on

Comes with all necessary cabling for the external crossover so only standard speaker cables needed.

Happy to demo in Brisbane - Bayside and happy to organise shipping via Pack Send
