Air as an Insulator: The company's research found that the dielectric constant of the insulating material influences sound quality. Air has the lowest dielectric constant, which minimizes the signal loss and interaction that can occur with solid materials like PVC or Teflon .
Cable Structure: The conductors are housed within Teflon tubes, centered around a central copper drain wire. This design ensures the conductors are primarily surrounded by air. The shielding is complex, often comprising layers of copper tape, carbon fiber mesh, and a copper braid.
