Overview
An accessible price point to a true reference-grade preamplifier, Pass Labs XP-22's most obvious feature is it's external power supply. Even the umbilical is 'aviation-grade' silver over oxygen-free copper. The power supply itself is two double-shielded low noise toroidal transformers in a dual mono configuration.
The attenuation is single-stage borrowed from the XP-30 model.
RCA outputs, along with XLR, make it easy to incorporate active subwoofers.
Built in California, USA, Pass Lab's XP-22 is more than worth a demo for anyone seeking a clean, uncoloured sound.
