Information is scarce on these. As far as I can see, these are Asia Pacific versions of the US only Sony SS TL5. The old Vintage Knob listing for this (website now sadly disappeared but searchable through Wayback Machine), noted that the TL5 was the top end model of these transmission line designs from the late 80s / early 90s, was the only one to feature a full front to back transmission line design, and also sported a titanium tweeter (which I believe is what is here in this TL60).

These are big speakers, with monster bass,  that need a big room and careful attention to set up to sound their best- they do need space particularly between them and the rear wall. Which is why I am selling them, as they don't quite work in my small apartment. If set up correctly they produce a large, surprisingly warm, detailed sound and that titanium tweeter is surprisingly chilled out. Great way to experience TL bass, which is of course huge.

The price - which is bargain for a floorstanding TL - is what I paid for them, so I am just passing on the love. No rush to sell these though - if there are no takers, I will fold them back into my collection.

Pick up only in Homebush West NSW.
