Yes, it's a good idea to cover the TV screen, it does make a difference. I use a panel of Autex Acoustics 50 mm Quietspace® Panel covered with a musical themed sheet from Temu, stapled at the back. Quite effective. to hang over the flat screen I use pvc covered wire coat hangers, bent into hooks.
If anyone in Perth wants the same (or halved to 25mm,) let me know the size of your TV and I can make you one for a bottle of cheap Cab Merlot and a listen to your system. 😁
