The classifieds are littered with "regretful sales", rest assured this is certainly one of those. I have held onto these amazing headphones for as long as I can, however due to an unexpected change of circumstances the time has come where I must let them go.
Purchased directly from Joe at Abyss in Feb 2019, this particular pair of 1266 TC's has a little over 6 years left to run before Abyss' 10 year warranty finishes.
Included in the sale is:
- The Abyss 1266 TC,
- An extra stock cable (the one that comes with the 1266 is extremely long, and if your amp is within reach, can be unwieldy)
- An extra pair of B-stock TC ear-pads.
If you're looking at this listing, then you'd know that JPS Labs accessories aren't cheap.
As far as condition is concerned, these are well loved and used cans. As such the gun-metal finish shows signs of use. No glaring imperfections, but there are signs of wear. All cosmetic, nothing functional. In more cultured, and cerebral online enclaves one might get away with calling it a patina. LOL.
I will also include a 4M Lazuli Reference Cable I had made when I purchased my first pair of Abyss cans - the OG over 6 years ago. The cable will benefit from a re-termination at the point where the cable meets the mini-xlr connectors, as well as at the point the cable meets it's balanced termination. I spent $US1998 on the cable in 2017.
In total the retail price for these items when new comes to an eye watering $AU14K, as such, I think my asking price is reasonable, and therefore firm. The price does include the cost of a donation to SNA, but does not include PayPal or postage fees.
Unfortunately, I've somehow managed to misplace the original box the headphones came in. How, I'm not entirely sure, but stranger things happen. If you're interstate I will cover the cost of having my local pack and send package them. I know the owner personally, having sent many an item to users on this forum in the past. He will treat them with the care and respect they deserve.
