These speakers are really quite amazing, using the acoustic suspension principle developed by Edgar Villchur in 1954 which revolutionized the field of high-fidelity equipment. Plenty to read about it on the web. These are smallest model that encompassed everything good about his work. Great bass and sparkling high’s.
I have refurbished multiple sets of vintage speakers worth 10 times these and yet they hold their own when put up in an A/B shootout. I didn’t actively seek out their bigger brother the AR3a but when a roached set found me I snapped them up.
I rotate various speakers in my workshop and these have had multiple yearly placements of 10hour a days so I can knowing say they are up to scratch health wise.
