Selling this legendary Alphason Sonata turntable with the highly revered HR-100MCS tonearm.
Bought this recently from another SNAer and haven't had a chance to even listen to it. Hence it is up for sale. Using the previous seller's photos and script. Hope that's OK.
A scarcely seen classic in excellent condition. Dustcover is in great condition for its age, only it doesn't like to stay up.
A brand new belt is included. HR-100MCS tonearm was a fully fledge high-end unit with a one-piece titanium arm tube - quite revolutionary at the time.
The arm still sports its original Van Den Hul tonearm wire and has the same mounting geometry as Linn, Kuzma, Zeta etc.
Switchable between 33 & 45 speed, with selector buttons below front timber fascia.
Extremely well built this turntable weighs an absolute tonne. The build quality is very impressive.
Another chance to own a scarcely seen classic.
