Ampex ATR700 2-track high speed reel to reel deck in good working order. 7½ and 15 ips. with two track heads. Interstate shipping available. The Ampex ATR-700 was made in Japan by Teac/Tascam to Ampex’s design specifications. The input/output connections are of the professional XLR type rather than domestic Hi-Fi RCA plugs. The standard ATR-700 was configured for half-track stereo operation and had three heads but a space was reserved for a fourth quarter-track reproduce head as an optional extra. The record heads could be switched to sync/reproduce for synchro recording via small switches on top of the head block. Edit button disables the take up motor for dumping unwanted tape from the supply reel, while the tape lifters are retracted for manual cueing in stop mode.
Recently lubed and serviced. Machine is in good working order with record and playback working well. Possible to ship interstate with requisite packing. Machine does not come with NAB hub adapters but with bound user manual copy.
