Audio-gd NFB-2  DAC

When I bought this it was highly touted in all reviews, has performed flawlessly, and provides accurate and non-fatiguing sound. Reason for sale: upgraded to fully balanced R-to-R DAC.

G’day all,

This sale and the others I have just posted are a result of my “It’s now or never,” binge of upgrading that is (at least for the moment) complete.

I’ve tried to put the asking prices about half way between a fair market value and a “pay it forward” give-away. The idea is that I’d like people who are desperately trying to upgrade or start from scratch to have a chance at getting some decent equipment at a real bargain price so that they can enjoy their music much more than currently. It will also enable me to clear out some extra gear that is very unlikely to get used again and then buy some more music with the proceeds.

There may even be some interconnects going free with equipment—providing they are suitable for your system. (Basic but all working.)

Pleading, begging and “or near offers” are encouraged.😊 You never know what might eventuate.

Here is the Audio-gd NFB-2 with DIR9001 input receiver chip.

Processes input up to 24/96,000.

Weight: 3.1 kg.

The NFB-2 uses all high quality parts—DALE, Vishay, WIMA, NOVER and closely matched Toshiba and Hitachi transistors. The RCA sockets are custom, 24k gold-plated. The power supply, amplifying stages and control systems are exceptionally well implemented and shielded from each other.

Inputs: USB, optical, coaxial. I connected a computer and a TV sound output and it worked well for both. Changing dip switches under the cover gives access to nine different filter/oversampling settings. A digital manual will be provided.

John Darko said, "Neutral but smooth sounding, it doesn't sound skeletal or digital (or metallic). There's meat aplenty on them bones . It's a sigma-delta DAC chip implementation without the dryness, neutrality without the emotional disconnection" - John Darko

Pick up or shipped at buyers risk and expense. I’m pretty good at packing and haven’t had anything damaged so far. Sorry, no audition is possible.
