Ayre EX-8 two-channel integrated amplifier provides a complete solution for the cutting-edge reproduction of refined audio sound.
All you need to enjoy the experience of your favourite music is to combine a quality pair of loudspeakers or headphones & a digital or analogue input source with the scintillating EX-8.
Highly adaptable, the EX-8’s ethernet module is Roon-ready & preconfigured to stream Spotify, Qobuz & Tidal.
Both balanced & unbalanced front facia output connections are driven by Ayre’s exclusive Double Diamond amplifier circuitry and Ayre’s robust analogue linear power supply, which has been designed & constructed to drive the most demanding headphones easily.
As with the headphone outputs, the EX-8 employs the same Double Diamond & linear power circuitry to effortlessly drive your loudspeakers up to 100 watts, into a nominal 8 ohms, per channel.

"Ayre's EX-8 is a compelling high end integrated amplifier – especially when used in the way it was designed, with its optional modules fitted and via the onboard DAC and streaming services. The basic analogue-only package is impressive, but things really make sense when it's fully loaded with all the digital options – especially to those trying to simplify their lives and/or hi-fi systems. It's not cheap, but I still think it represents fine value for money given the flexibility and sound quality it is capable of. An essential audition then, if this is where you see your system going and you have the funds to take it there."

"To the EX-8’s overall sonic character, I would ascribe one word: clean. The sound of the ECM record label distilled into an amplifier. Music through the EX-8 plays to the head primarily but also reaches out to the heart.
Pristine, well defined, transparent. Those preferring a sweet or euphonic sound might look elsewhere. Those who revel in understanding every performer’s role should apply here – a light illuminates the soundstage, everything is audible and there are no dark corners. It does NOT tip over into relentless, soulless or clinical. A mistake similarly-voiced equipment can make. The EX-8 just presents a less filtered view of the world."
