Reason for selling: Space constraints and downsizing to B&W 805 N bookshelf versions
Selling B&W 803 N in cherry wood finish.
Reluctant sale due to limited open plan space constraints with competing users (family!) and reverting to B&W 805 N bookshelf speakers in the same finish (which I have had for 20+ years).
Sitting on ISO Acoustics GAIA III isolating feet (optimal results achieved by installing with the GAIA logo facing the listening position - original GAIA boxes and tool available).
Currently using these bi-wired (Inakustik cables) with NAIM NAP250, NAC 282 and High Cap with Naim NDX2 and Rega RP3 sources. You do need a good power source to make the 803 N sing, I’d say min 80-90 watts per channel but the sound through this system is outstanding, detail retrieval amazing as is the natural mid-range. Voices sound like they are in the room and the tone is rich and warm. Having started with (and still own and use) my B&W 805 N’s for more than 20 years, I knew I loved the B&W sound and have not been disappointed with this set up.
I do not have original speaker boxes, so pickup is preferred as these are heavy speakers. Audition is available if requested with the system noted above but only once price is pre-agreed.
