This model of the Tesla (T) 1 headphones altered the sound significantly from what we "expected" from Beyerdynamic's past T1 versions. Gone was the "Beyer Mountain" around 6-8 kHz. Added was significantly more mid and lower bass.
I really like this version, but it was a real shock when I first heard it after long term exposure to the prior T1 Generation 2. OMG - what's with all the bottom end detail I've never heard before? Where did the treble sting go? Despite all the naysayers looking at frequency response graphs, this is the real masterpiece of the 3 T1 generations IMHO.
