For sale is a superb CH Dual Mono Preamplifier (L1) with external power supply (X1) and the matching Stereo amplifier (M1.1).
I am selling this on behalf of a dear friend who has graciously let me borrow it to try out on various speakers that have graced my room over the past 6 months.
Without going into a hyperbole about this wonderfully crafted piece of Swiss engineering, I will simply say that this is hands down the best Preamp/Amplifier combo I've ever heard in my room, or anywhere for that matter! It has an ability to really connect with one emotionally through natural warmth but still with lightning fast speed and transparency that simply is breath taking no matter the source or speaker you have mated to it either side of the system.
The L1 preamplifier can be run independently of the X1 power supply, although it does certainly sound superior with the external power supply connected. As a side benefit, the X1 power supply has the ability to connect to 2 units, so can be run with other CH equipment like the D1/D1.5 or P1.1.
The M1.1 power amplifier has some really unique features that allows one to tailor the sound to suit the speakers or personal taste through adjustments to the Global Feedback settings. Whilst I haven't felt the need to play with it too much, I can indeed understand why some may like to alter the settings for change in the overall presentation.
Guess sometimes you get a sum of all things when it comes to hi-fi and not having spent much time in the more Ultra High End of this crazy but addictive and rewarding hobby, I get what the next level up delivers in the performance and just overall build quality. This is really an investment that will make someone very happy for many years to come.
All packaging is included and will be safely shipped on a pallet Australia wide with full insurance. Buyer does pay for shipping but rates are competitive when shipping West to East coast for buyers in another state.
