Just to clarify the SU6 is a step up giving an extra 20db to the MM6 40db: 60db total. The SU6 is used in conjunction with the MM6 for all but the lowest output MC carts. The MM6 which has been mildly superceded is used on its own for all but lowest output MM or high output MC carts.
If your interested please go to www.darlingtonlabs.com and get a great rundown on this 2 box setup. The SU6 MC Box is adjustable for loading (47ohm, 100ohm, 220ohm and 470ohm) currently set at 100ohm which suits most modern MC's. I can adjust within those parameters for you if you like, just let me know the cart you will be using. . The MM6 is fixed at 47 kohm 120pf again suiting most modern carts. If you have older mm's such as Shure or Stanton I will happily guide you thru setting up varied capacitance by way of an adaptor. The MM6 has the upgrade RCA's which you might notice are pretty expensive.
This setup really does have a detailed and very organic sound. Condition is excellent and postage is covered.
