I have owned this ares II for about 1.5 years and purchased it from a friend who owned it for 2 weeks before moving up the Denafrips chain.
I updated the firmware with the July 2023 release and believed this to be an improvement. I believe the original firmware can be reinstalled if desired.
It has been very well looked after and performs flawlessly. Not using my system that much these days and really only listen to vinyl when I do.
I have the original box plus another to double box for shipping safely. More than welcome to come around and have a listen or I’m happy to drive a little to deliver or meet halfway perhaps in the lower mountains.
