Air Reference DAC is one of Dr Forsells contribution to the world of Audio. It features a "1bit DAC" able to play Class A audio. It features 32/44,1/48khz conversion.

This DAC redefined my highest standards of Hi-fi listening - period.
Never before could I imagine it would be possible to extract soo much musical information from the CD format.
How could this be?
No audio d/a EVER has been designed so meticulously and so taken to the extreme as this one.
I have an engineering diploma and I am just chocked to see the amount of effort put into the creation of this unit - the PSU design, the components used, the design architecture, the PCB....
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is taken to such an extreme level of sophistication, it is awe-inspiring.
And once you start playing music, it is apparent.... that which you have been missing all along.
I cannot believe this is a 30 year old unit.
This unit was compared to almost every high-end dac on the market:

The sound, so sensual, so extended and airy, so harmonically rich and balanced, so dynamic and yet so utterly effortless. So triode-like smooth and so thunderously powerful.....
No other DAC in my humble opinion has been able to even come close to sonic performance of this gem.
It is obvious: while the Forsell Air so effortlessly paints a tall, wide, deep, airy, detailed, sweet, extended
landscape of sound in front of you, the other competitors try so hard and yet accomplish nothing...
