Bought this from Alibaba on 28 March 2024 (I'll include the invoice), updated it to the latest firmware, and I've been blown away by it with my Pixel phone for Roon ARC, as a DAC/amp for my PC, and as a fidelity-boosting add-on to a cheap n' cheerful micro-DAP.

The sound, especially on desktop mode (which you can use with any device with enough power--you don't necessarily require a separate auxillary power input), is rid-DONK-ulous. It's definittely the punchiest sound I've ever had on the go. I've only paired it with the OG Campfire Audio Solaris on the 3.5mm output, and it's got a teensy bit of hiss on desktop mode, but the trade-off is worth it. Desktop mode is so very dynamic that I find it a touch fatiguing on some tracks.

All retail packaging and accessories (including a nice little blue leather-esque case) are intact, and I'll pack it well for shipping. I paid $162.99 USD, and I'm asking for 2/3 of that (in marsupial dollars).

I really, really like this gadget. I'm just not keen on dingle-dangle dongle ergonomics, despite the thoughtful way that Fiio designed this (reversible display, well-placed hardware volume control, etc). so I'm sending the KA17 on its way to help fund my purchase of Fiio's new M23 DAP.
