Focal Chorus 826W 30th Anniversary (Edition Speciale) – Piano Black
Up for sale is my pair of Focal Chorus 826W 30th Anniversary (Edition Speciale) floorstanding speakers in piano black.
This is the special “W” version of the Chorus 826, released as part of Focal’s 30th Anniversary range. It incorporates the W-sandwich cone drivers derived from Focal’s higher-end Electra line, offering a clear step up in speed, control and transparency over the standard 826V.
In use, these present a very balanced and refined sound—excellent imaging and soundstage, with precise placement and a wide, open presentation. The highs are detailed and extended without harshness, and the bass is tight, controlled and integrates cleanly with the midrange. They’re engaging without being fatiguing, and work well across a wide range of music.
They’ve been used in a dedicated two-channel setup in a smoke-free home and have always been driven with quality upstream gear.
Condition:
Overall excellent. Cabinets present very well with the piano black finish still deep and glossy. Under close inspection there are a couple of minor hairline marks consistent with careful use, but nothing noticeable in normal placement. Drivers are in perfect working order.
