For those of you not familiar with these magnificent speakers, please read on, as these big Triton speakers have an amazing 'party trick'.
Built into EACH speaker there is a 1,600W Class D amp. This powers THREE forward facing bass drives, and FOUR huge side firing passive radiators, PER speaker. They also accept line-in speaker level inputs, AND an RCA LFE input.
How this works is that the DSP engine IN each speaker slices up the signal and sends the low level signal to the subwoofer amp. So your amp only has to power the mid range and treble!
Connect it to an 8W 300B tube amp. and it can bring down the house..... as your 8W amp only need power the high level speakers, with oodles of bass being provided by the speaker's own in-house sub amp!
Connect them to an HT amp and assign Front L/R = LARGE and Sub = NO, and connect via the speaker cables.... same as above. Bass fit to kill!
Connect them to an HT amp and assign Front L/R = SMALL, and Sub = YES. Now connect via the speaker cables, and send HT sub output to LFE. One again, bass fit to kill!
Put it this way..... to buy 2 x 1600W subs would cost you $4K, so you are getting the rest of a world class speaker for about $250 per unit!!
I don't think there is a more versatile, large, slim0line speaker out there. Review from Soundstage HiFi: "The Triton One’s performance across the board is exceptional. I am only selling as I have elected to sell these other than some one-off custom made speakers I had made. These are a safer bet to sell and less controversial for buyers.... lots of A1++ reviews available.
I don't have boxes, so pickup only at this point - preferably from Umina.
