Further Information

Original owner, bought this from MiniDisc on 7 December 2023 (I'll include the invoice).

I love this silly little DAP so much that this is the second one I've bought--and I discarded the retail packaging because I was so certain that I'd never sell it. 🫥

The ergonomics are stellar--if you dislike dallying with dongle-DACs dangling off your phone and draining its battery,  get yourself a proper micro-DAP like this one (if you don't mind loading an SD card, that is). The volume knob and the buttons are simply delightful to interact with--once you get the layout, it's super-easy to operate blind while it's in your pocket. Plus, its diminuitive size makes it a perfect partner for public transit commutes. The included TPU case, while a tight fit, makes the device easier to grasp and control. This is the only device I've owned that feels better with the case on.

Sounds rather nice to boot. The 4.4 output is the one you want for clarity and channel separation (and power), but I also like the 3.5mm for its more congealed presentation and lower power for super-sensitive IEMs. Speaking of IEMs, the background is dead silent on the super-sensitive OG Campfire Solaris.

I've used it mostly as an offline SD card player, but I've also dabbled with it as a digital transport (awesome for that, esp. with Chord Mojo), bluetooth receiver, Airplay receiver, and USB DAC.  Hiby's firmware is not too bad--glitches are minor and infrequent. MSEB is the bee's knees. If you're into streaming I'd steer clear of this (didn't test Tidal or Qobuz integration as I'm a Roon-only boi). I found bluetooth and USB DAC mode to work well, but Airplay was janky.

You won't get the retail packaging, but I will include all accessories that came with the DAP (cable, screen protectors, case), packed all nice.
