Lampucera Tube DAC + Topping D10S USB to SPDIF Converter

Got this from another great member here and thoroughly enjoyed this awesome Vacuum Tube DAC.

It is built very robust with high quality parts throughout.

During my possession, made a few improvements. It was originally Coax input only and the DAC board cater both Coax as well as Optical so added Optical connection with toggle switch at the back so have two digital inputs now.

It also originally had slight transformer hum because it was sitting on slate so replaced slate with thick rubbery anti-vibration pads and it eliminated hum completely and runs dead quiet.

I will also include as new Topping D10s USB to SPDIF converter as well as Genuine Oyaide 1m USB cable so new owner can also use USB based source such as mini computer or streamer.

I personally compared this DAC with some other well known Chinese DACs and Gieseler DAC and found this DAC is a bit more natural sounding.

I am now thinking to get streamer + DAC combo to simplify the setup hence moving these whole set on.

DAC comprises Cirrus Logic CS4397 DAC chip and Cirrus Logic CS8416 receiver chip. Simple signal circuit design. Lukas rates both chips and the DAC itself very highly. Great musicality, richness and articulation.  DAC is cased in a very nice, solid aluminium chassis (no dings) with a number of other decent upgrades, including WIMA caps, R-core transformer and quality resistors and genuine Dulund signal wires etc. Boards are on slate.
