These are a 1-off cable that Mike put together. They are qausi-balanced with good quality RCA (Eichman) and XLR connectors using Lenehan's foil conductors. Mike spends a lot of time getting his cables to sound just right and these are a testimony to that obsessiveness. Subjectively very fast, clear and with great sound-staging.
XLR's are Female - they are designed to fit the OUTPUT of a balanced source. I was using them from the balanced outputs my BHK Preamp DAC to my Pass Labs XA25 which unbalanced. 1.5m in length.
