Further Information:
Pair of the legendary Luxkit A3000 (or Luxman MB-3045) monoblock tube amplifiers.
- Produced between 1975 to 1978.
-
Designed by Tim de Paravicini while working at Luxman.
- Purchased by myself while in Japan, in 2019.
- Full inspection and service completed by Garry Cawsey in Melbourne, last week.
- Matching serial numbers.
- Overall condition is excellent, with only a few paint chips on the cages.
-
Includes two full sets of tubes.
- Original - NEC 8045Gs (very rare), NEC 6240Gs, NEC 12AU7s (and Matsushita brand 12AX7s).
- Brand new - matched quad Svetlana KT88s, EH 6CG7s (drop-in replacement for the original 6240Gs), JJ 12AX7s and JJ 12AU7s.
- Factory modified to run the readily available KT88s (reversible).
- Japanese 100V, and comes with a monster 1500W isolated step-down transformer from TorTech (dead quiet).
I've owned both the kit and assembled version of these amplifiers, and can confirm they're identical.
Preferred these over brands much more expensive, but sadly don't need two sets.
Pickup preferred (or have a decent budget for shipping).
