Available for sale is a top spec McChanson SET KT150 UL/Triode switchable Tube Amplifier – with adjustable fixed bias, with Silk output transformers & uses an IT (interstage transformers– i.e. no coupling capacitors). This is a beast of an Amp, drives my 88db Speakers easily with dial barely at 9 o’clock. Probably has about 400 hours on it – so condition is like excellent.
Specs below;
Power Tube complement possible – 6L6 to KT170. A pair of KT150 will be provided with the Amp.
Driver – 6EM7 (have host of other possible drivers with use of adapters) – in picture is 6FD7
Rectifier – indirect heated type – have used GZ32 and GZ34 thus far. Amp will come with 5Z4 tube that was provided with the Amp.
Output – conservatively rated to 13W in UL and half in triode (it doesn’t behave like its 13W though based on how it performs in driving my speakers! I have a 15W tube Amp that runs at 2 o’clock to drive the same speakers to achieve the same SPL)
PreAmp - quite certain that it has a pair of Pre outputs.
Note: the GZ32 rectifier pictured is not included is sale but happy to negotiate with prospective buyer for inclusion. I will include some of the driver tubes (about 6 pairs) that I’ve collected for the Amp AND as well as a pair of 6L6 – metal tube & 5881A’s power tubes.
