I think that these are great turntables for the money. It’s built like a tank at >13kg, it has fantastic torque and stops and starts very fast, zero bearing noise, bearings on the tonearm are great.
There aren’t many introductory level turntables that do all of that while delivering a driving, open sound. Fit this up with a good cartridge (such as the one below) and some good quality ICs and some resonance control and you’ll have a winner starter 'table for the $$.
I’m selling this fitted with the KAB 1200 silicone fluid damper which makes a considerably improvement to the sound. These currently ~USD$200 / approx $300 AU landed.
Also included is a very low hour Nagaoka JT-80lb cartridge. This has the classic nagaoka warm sound signature yet much more detailed than the popular MP110.
