The is a rare cabinet designed to house a Garrard 301. It would make a great companion to the Garrard 301 I'm also selling (see other listing). Note this ad is for the cabinet only, 301 not included.
These were used by the ABC from the 40's to the 70's. This particular one I think has come from a record company. A note was found inside from an audio engineer who must have been listening to and grading masters on it (see pic) as well as a couple of AWA strobesopes.
It's a very heavy and solid foundation for a 301. It has a large draw, perfect for cartridges etc, and it has record storage underneath for at least 300 records. The lid is lined with thick felt, and it has an opening on the side to get access to the turntable underside. It has slots for two arms. It rolls around easily on its wheels.
