The Rotel RB-956AX contains six nominally 30-watt (more like 40w RMS) amplifiers in a single unit somewhat smaller than a typical A/V receiver. The channels are grouped in three stereo pairs, with independent signal-input jacks and speaker-output terminals. Each stereo pair also has a small switch on the back panel that converts it to bridged mono operation providing triple the rated power of one of its stereo channels (100w).
This amplifier has given me great service and performed extremely reliably. Paired with the Rotel RSP-960AX surround processor (see separate listing), it formed my main system for many years. until around 10 years ago.
Not currently connected, but audition available, only up here in Mannum. Come for a drive and we can have lunch at the pub. I did connect it up along with the surround processor, to my KI Pearl SACD and Krix IW-50s yesterday, and it still sounded amazing, slightly warm but very smooth and fatigue free. There is a trim missing on the front right where rack mount brackets are connected. I am currently sourcing a replacement for that side, or a matching new pair of trims, and will forward those on to the purchaser.
Local pickup preferred but can deliver to Adelaide or southern areas of South Australia, within reason. I no longer have the original packing, but can pack securely for shipment if required, shipping at purchasers' expense of course, Pack n Send preferred, but other freight methods by negotiation.
