This has called my Verdier La Platine home for the last 18-24 months and I have enjoyed every moment.
It has an impeccable ability of extracting a beautifully natural level of musicality, all the while delivering an articulately nuanced sense of accuracy. Truly high end performance from a renowned master craftsman.
An attractive quality is Schroder's universality and flexibility. Using Franks lightest headshell plate (porous aluminium) to his heaviest (brass) one can utilise an effective mass of 11 to 19g's. This will accomodate any MC cartridge and even some MM/MI models.
Used with Koetsu, Air Tight, EMT, Murasukino, Lyra, Shelter, Benz, Transfiguration and Ortofon with no disappointments.
A hard one to let go of. But, circumstances dictate sales at the moment. I do see a Schroder LT in my (hopefully not so) distant future.
A great chance to save big on RRP (circa $9K) and the cheapest on the net.
