STAX SR-X Mk3 are an amazing vintage Electrostatic headphone, one of the most detailed, neutral coherent headphones around, smooth and fatigue free, read up on Ken Rockwell's review on the Mk3 model, amazing performance.
These are in excellent condition, been stored for many years as I just dont use headphones much and dont have anywhere to set them up properly. I plugged them in this week to check them out, still sound amazing! No issues with the condition or performance of the electrostatic panels. Pads are headband materials are in excellent condition, soft and smooth.
The SRD7 energizer is an excellent unit with quality transformers, it has had binding posts added to the case for ease of connecting speaker cables. The set comes with 1m long Sonic Art EBONY speaker cables with copper shell banana plugs, this retailed for $200 on its own..
I used a 3 watt single ended EL84 amp to drive the energizer, sounds glorious.
Happy to box them up very carefully to ship anywhere in Australia or NZ.
Local Melb buyers can meet up at a convenient time and location, cannot demo sorry but if you are not far happy to deliver so you can test them out.
