I purchased this tonearm from an SNA member a year or so ago intending to fit it to my SL-110, but I never got around to making the new armboard it would have required, so I gave up on the project and it's been sitting since.

In that time though I have substantially cleaned it up, a light cut and polish to the painted surfaces, and treating the rubber and plastic parts with protective coating to bring back their shine, reattach the anti-skating dial (a common fault) and done basic servicing like deoxiting the contacts and freeing up the stiff helical VTA adjustment. I have not personally used it but can confirm it moves nice and free and continuity has been confirmed with a stable 0.3ohms across each wire from end to end. So it will leave me in better shape than it arrived.

The arm is designed for low compliance cartridges, see specs in attached photo.

The EPA500 tonearm features interchangeable arm units, titanium nitride tapered pipe arm, dynamic damping system, Gimbal suspension arm base for various arm units, helicoid height adjustment ranging up to 20mm and minimum bearing friction of 7mg in all directions.
