Bought in Aus in Oct 2020, the Verdier La Platine is still ones of the best turntables in the world and this one is as new, not even run in yet maybe 50 hours, max, I removed cart so no more hours could be achieved.

SME 5 tonearm in wonderful condition, cartridge is an Etsuro Cobalt but will probably keep that unless new owner wants to buy separately. 2nd armboard included ready for another SME arm ,like a 3009 or 3012 maybe or another sme5.

The turntable uses massive magnets to create a floating platter and the platter weighs about 20 kilos. No foot fall, or disturbance with this deck. It took along time to find a suitable turntable I could use with suspended wooden floorboards with kids and heavy dogs in the household vinyl was almost impossible, however we have moved and the new house is perfect for a suspension deck so off to market she goes and will buy a cheaper suitable replacement in the future.

Verdier are not supplying Australia since the start of the Ukraine conflict and may never again so this may be your last and only hope to secure a deck revered by so many and built the same way for 43 years or so that's essentially brand new and save over 10k doing so Verdier rrp is $23000 and SME 5 arm $10300

HRS platform not included, just TT, power supply and arm in box.

Photos don't do it justice so have a couple of stock shots too. its hard to clean the black surfaces in direct sunlight so it still looks a but dusty.

J.C. Verdier has been manufacturing this turntable for over Thirty years for the French home market and for export to the USA, Germany and the Far East where it has achieved great acclaim.

La Platine Verdier – the French word “platine” (pronounced pla-teen, with the accent on the last syllable) means turntable; it was conceived by Jean Constant Verdier or ERA fame, so the name means the Verdier turntable – was first presented to the public in 1979.

The Platine Verdier’s success story is written by its proud owners and daily users. We are happy to have contributed to that story; that a product is still going strong after more than 35 years in a fast-changing market is testament to its stature and value.

thanks for looking it can be packaged safely in multiple boxes to ship but pack and send or local sale would be easier.
