This integrated amp is a single-box option with incredibly flexible

connectivity and serious high end performance, capable of effortlessy

driving almost any speaker with massive power reserves. It weighs

40kg and is rated a minimum of 300W RMS @ 8 ohms/ 600W RMS @ 4 ohms.

With the first 12W in Class A it's as delicate as it is dynamic.

This model builds on the

 incredibly popular RI-100 and exceeds it in many ways, such as a lower

noise floor yielding greater clarity and more controlled bass

producing more natural tonality. While the engaging organic flavour

and styling of the earlier model has been retained, this is an

altogether higher resolution beast! Trickle-down technology from

Signature and Masterpiece Series has been employed in areas such as

the huge, ultra low-noise power supply, upgraded volume control, power

amp input circuitry and relay modules.

Features include 3 pairs of XLR inputs, 2 pairs of RCA inputs, an

onboard DAC and Streamer as well as LAN or USB inputs for an external

Streamer or Digital Source. Many users have praised the sound quality

of its Vitus DAC with CD transports, using the AES or S/PDIF inputs in

particular. Any analogue input can be set to have its volume control

bypassed for home cinema use. There is almost no type of signal

that can't be handled using the enormous range of possible settings on

the discrete front panel controls.

Considering the current price tag of $37,500 for the model that

supersedes it, this is a hugely cost-effective solution for someone

attracted to exceptional sound quality from one of the world's leading

manufacturers. As well as a lot of money, it could save on space and a

mess of cables. This amp has worked flawlessly and comes complete with

original carton and all accessories including remote and USB manual.
