The below advert is just copied from my gumtree advert. I bought the two subs with cabinets from someone local a few years ago for $200. The amplifier I bought for $200 as well a bit later. I am selling everything for $150 together now if you can pickup from Mount Barker.
The Peerless drivers work fine without issue but I haven't utilized them for the last year as they are just too much for a smallish room. The Amplifier I was using to drive the subs and just connected to my mains the other day to make sure its ok. It sounds super sweet and dynamic when warm. The only issues with it are the front display seems defective. The left channel is a tiny bit quieter than the right channel which is easily corrected by moving the balance knob slightly. The input selector sometimes is a bit "scratchy" which is common on these apparently. I just bypassed it by running into the tape inputs so it isn't an issue. (I "stole" some of the advert for the Yamaha amp from another previous members ad if the description looks familiar).
2X Peerless 12" 813857 12 Bass drivers Made in Denmark in 135litre sealed cabinets. Have been running the DSP-A2070 with the two 12" Peerless subs, but the amplifier sounds better than my $5000 Denon running my front speakers too! (wanting to downsize system as subwoofers are just too much in a small room/shared house)
Yamaha DSP-A2070 (Was rated amplifier of the year in 1993) This unit is quite rare and it sounds heavenly when run into stereo mode (One review placed its stereo performance above a KRELL! Also it has so much power that it can drive any large speakers with ease and never even get warm. This particular model has been so underrated power wise.
Extremely heavy nearly 24 kilos thanks to the heavy duty transformer and twin 22,000uf capacitors! This excellent, highly-regarded unit was introduced by Yamaha in 1993. It continued the "Cinema DSP" introduced in the DSP-A1000 with three times the processing power! It has been eleven years since the DSP-A2070 was made. It was succeeded by the Yamaha DSP-A3090, also highly regarded. The A-3090 was basically a 2070 unit with some additional memory to compensate for the "Tri-Field Processing" which was added to Dolby AC-3 surround (later known as Dolby Digital). Otherwise, features were virtually identical to the A2070. The A-2070 was an excellent Dolby Pro-Logic, and many technicians preferred it over the A03090
